That's good to know Lynda. I will look around and put this on the calendar. This is not the county, right? I don't want to pay the county to take the stuff and then leave it out on the ground for years to pollute like they did with the other equipment that many residents paid for them to dispose of.

I think the county just pocketed the money and then broke their own rules, as usual. So please tell me this is not the county government.

Thank you.

No, the county government is not involved with the electronics recycling day.

Recycle the Park is part of the non-profit Park County Vision 2020.
Metech Recycling will be onsite that day to collect and take everything to their Denver facility where it is disassembled into four material streams: precious metals, other metals, plastics, and glass.
It will all be properly recycled.

I just now saw that I didn't list CDs or DVDs as items that can be recycled. They should be listed under Donation Requested list.

Thanks ihavealtitude! See you there.

8)
Just a reminder on this - the snow in the Crow Hill area is light right now and hopefully won't keep ppl away from this recycling opportunity.

We had an estimated 2,500 to 3,000 pounds of electronics recycled today. Not bad considering the weather.
Thanks to all who came out on the first snow day of this fall.

That sounds like a good result. Will you be doing it again? Please give us more notice. Thank you for the opportunity.

Yes, we will have an electronics recycling day in both Fairplay and Bailey next year - and will get the word out sooner about when it will be happening.
