Post Why Repeal Obamacare
The lament today is that a vote to repeal the Affordable Care Act is a waste of time and that Republicans in congress should focus their time, instead, on a jobs bill.

What is ignored in that complaint is that the ACA or Obamacare is one of the greatest obstacles to job creation that the nation has ever seen. If you ask many small to mid-sized businesses, they will tell you that they are not expanding or hiring because of the devastating effect the $1.7 Trillion in new taxes and the regulations and requirements might have on their business if they have employees. They will tell you that the uncertainty in the 2,700 page law keeps them from commitment to an expansion or hiring. Each new hire could potentially cost them thousands in additional costs under the law when the full effects hit. It's a massive tax increase on the very people who can't afford their medical care or benefits now.

Many Republicans and some Democrats favor repealing the behemoth of a job-killing law and replacing it with predictable and understandable elements favored by the majority of the public without the economy-killing burdens contained in the current law. A new law could provide some stability and a little faith in the future that prospective employers are lacking now.

The U.S. Supreme Court may have called the law Constitutional, but they did not call it good. Remember that other onerous laws in our history were once considered "Constitutional." The President and his supporters lied about it being a tax; now they are hiring 17,000 new IRS agents to enforce what they said is not a tax.

I read that the law adds taxes on medical equipment and supplies to help pay for it. That goes directly to making our medical bills higher.
