Post Exciting Primary Elections in Other States - 9/14
Charlie Rangel is struggling to keep his job in a NY primary election against his former "student of politics" Adam Clayton Powell. Strangely, Powell's father is the congressman Rangel beat to win the seat. Could be a turnabout election. Two GOP candidates are in a primary race for the Governor's mansion. Rick Lazio and Carl Paladino.

Kirsten Gillibrand is faced with a primary challenger. She was appointed to serve as a NY Senator when Hillary was sent on her global tour.

Another interesting one is the Repub primary to run for Veep Joe Biden's old position. One is a moderate to liberal Repub and one is endorsed by the Tea Party.

In New Hampshire, the Tea Party candidate Lamontagne has an early lead. Still a long way to go.

Delaware has 99% of counts in and the race is called for the more conservative candidate, Christine O'Donnell. Now the race is on to take the election to replace Biden.

So far, the Rangel race has no results reported. That's quite a big deal, that seat.

Wasn't O'Donnell endorsed by Sarah Palin? That woman is on a roll!

Palin did endorse O'Donnell but she waited until the last minute. Not sure what that was about. It could be that the party was pressuring her to endorse the establishment guy because O'Donnell may have a harder time winning in the liberal state. They went for it on principle, I think.

It looks like Kirsten Gillibrand takes her primary with room to spare.

They've also called the race for Charlie Rangel. Corruption wins again!

Too bad about Rangel. I guess the people in his neighborhood like tax cheats and crooks representing them. Maybe he'll be convicted and jailed and they'll either go without the vote or somebody will be appointed. The ethics committee could still kick him out, I think. It should continue to be a fun year for Dems. Or maybe a Repub or Independent will come out of the woodwork and beat him in November. Whatever happens, it's an embarrassment for the Dems.

As you say, maybe Rangel could be removed from office by the ethics committee if he's arrested. Let's hope that they have the courage to do that. They all have so much to hide, like the politicians in Park County and the ones arrested in Bell, Calif. for taking corrupt advantage of their power. Any official who does that should be arrested. Let's get back to finding out how they are spending our money.

Could we get a picture of John Tige or Mark Doobie or the fat cat lawyer laying on that chair at one of their traveling meetings?
