Park County Sheriff's Office Announces Increased Reward of $50,000 in Maggie Long Murder and Website In Furtherance of the Investigation

For Immediate Release: January 28, 2019—Today the Park County Sheriff's Office, along with the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI), the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Denver Division announced an increased reward of $50,000 for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for the murder of Maggie Long, a Bailey, Colorado, high school Senior murdered in her home on December 1, 2017.

The Park County Sheriff's Office also announced the Maggie Long Task Force assigned to investigating her murder has developed a website,, providing the public with additional information about this case and generating additional leads. The website contains case information, to include pictures of Maggie, the crime scene and evidence to encourage you to compare what the public may know, or have heard, with what actually happened.

Newly elected Sheriff Tom McGraw announced that the Maggie Long Task Force believed at least three men were directly involved in Maggie's murder. Based on their investigation, the Task Force believes these suspects spent a significant amount of time in the house with Maggie Long on December 1, 2017.

An updated flier released during today’s news conference is attached to the news release. Additionally billboards with website information will be posted throughout the Denver and Colorado Springs areas.

Sheriff McGraw advised the case will remain active and ongoing. Updates will be provided when there is new information and/or an arrest has been made. CBI, ATF, and the FBI Denver Division will continue to assist the Park County Sheriff's Office with the investigation.
