Winter Storm Watch - N & W Park County

Issued: 2:45 PM MST Feb. 4, 2019 – National Weather Service

... Winter Storm Watch in effect from Tuesday afternoon through
late Wednesday night...

* what... heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 6 to
12 inches possible. Winds could gust as high as 40 mph.

* Where... Rabbit Ears Pass, Rocky Mountain National Park and the
Medicine Bow range and the mountains of Summit County, the
Mosquito Range, and the Indian Peaks.

* When... from Tuesday afternoon through late Wednesday night.

* Additional details... travel could be very difficult due to slick
and snow-covered roads. The cold wind chills as low as 30 below
zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30
minutes.
