At 5:20 p.m. Monday night, the crash of a Chevy Tracer turned fatal for local resident Jacquie MacDonald. The 35 year old resident of Harris Park was ejected from the vehicle as it flipped and was airborn for more than 100 feet before flipping again. MacDonald was traveling northbound on 285 near Shawnee when the vehicle apparently left the road, overcorrected, and went off an embankment on the west side. There were no passengers in the Tracer and no other vehicles were involved.

Ms. MacDonald was a Certified Nursing Assistant and her daughter, Megan, is a student at Fitzsimmons Middle School.

Evergreen Mortuary is handling the funeral arrangements.

Services will be held Monday, November 11, 2002 at Platte Canyon Community Church in Bailey. Viewing is from 1 PM until the service begins at 3 PM.
