Three counties, including Park County, will work with the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center nursing faculty and nurse doctoral students on a MAPP (Mobilizing for Action through Planning and Partnerships) program designed to identify directions for public health nursing agencies. The new MAPP program will gather information on the strengths, weaknesses, needs and resources for health services in the county.
To compile the information, 21 nursing students will interview key informants, such as school faculty, clergy, businesses, or other interested parties. Those with questions or interested in participating in the program should call Park
County Public Health at (719) 836-4147 or (303) 816-5970.
The nursing students will be in Park County October 3-5, 2004, to meet the citizens and talk to them about health care issues.
Funding for this project is coming through a grant awarded to Park County Public Health from the Colorado Department
of Public Health and Environment.
