BACKGROUND

- 3rd generation Colorado native, resident of Park County for over 29 years
- Moved to the town of Fairplay in 2000 so that I could be more accessible to the office
- Married to Rick for over 30 years
- 2 grown children graduates of South Park High School; we also have 2 grandchildren and 2 more on the way

EXPERIENCE
- Over 21 years’ experience in the Treasurer’s Office, over 6 years as Treasurer/Public Trustee
- Responsible for collection and disbursements of tax monies, investing funds, tax sale, end of year tax conversion, foreclosures, bankruptcies, releases of deeds of trust, and many other duties
- Have attended ongoing professional training in Treasurer/Public Trustee field
- Certified with the Colorado County Treasurer’s Association and Colorado State University as a County Treasurer
ACCOMPLISHMENTS
- First Treasurer in the State of Colorado to establish an Internet payment program where taxpayers could pay taxes on-line automatically
- Established a credit card payment system so that other county departments could collect funds on-line
- Put into place a scanning system which is being integrated throughout many county departments for quick access to information
- Set up a process with various banking entities for quicker distribution to districts
- Computerized reports for faster processing that were previously done manually
- In the process of implementing a newer, more efficient Public Trustee computer foreclosure program
- I am currently serving as President of the Colorado County Treasurer’s Association and have served on the Legislative committee and others for the past 6 years
GOALS
My primary goal is to serve the people of Park County. I believe having properly trained staff is an important part of an effective and efficient office. I will continue to educate myself with all phases of the office and to work alongside my staff. I will do the best that I can for Park County.
