The designated election official conducting a November 3 mail ballot election shall send a mail ballot packet to each eligible elector. In any mail ballot election in 2009, the DEO shall also mail a ballot to all registered electors whose record is marked "Inactive - Failed to Vote". All mail-in ballots shall be in the hands of the County Clerk no later than 7:00 P.M. Except for ballots cast by absent uniformed service electors serving outside the U.S., which must be voted and transmitted no later than 7:00 P.M. and received no later than the close of business on the 8th day after election day.

By 7:00pm, the Secretary of State shall notify all counties of which voting devices and which race or races have been selected for auditing purposes.

The County Clerk shall send a letter to eligible electors who voted by mail, but whose signature is not provided, or whose signature does not appear to match the signature on file in the office of the County Clerk, with a form to confirm that the elector returned a ballot. (Within 3 days from signature verification but no later than 2 days after election day.)

All ballots cast by absent uniformed service electors serving outside the U.S., that were voted and transmitted by 7:00 P.M. on election day must be received by the County Clerk no later than close of business on the 8th day after election day.

Last day an interested party may request a recount at its own expense. The request shall be filed with the appropriate governing body. (Within 24 days after the election, to be completed no later than the 30th day after the election.)
When an interested party files a request for a recount the designated election official or other appropriate governing body shall notify the political subdivision within which the election was held of the request. (No later than the day following the request.)
The election official who will conduct the recount shall determine the cost of the recount. (Within 1 day of receiving the request to recount.)
The interested party that requested a recount shall pay the cost of the recount by certified funds to the election official with whom the request was filed. (Within 1 day of receiving the election official’s cost determination.)

ON ELECTION DAY TO BE COUNTED

Voters may drop off ballots at the Bailey Clerk's office no later than 5 p.m. to be delivered for counting


To ensure the proper delivery of your Mail Ballot, if voting Absentee, the Park County Elections Division
needs to have your current residential and mailing address.


THE POST OFFICE WILL NOT FORWARD BALLOTS - VERIFY REQUIRED POSTAGE
