NEWLY ELECTED DISTRICT ATTORNEY THOM LEDOUX MAY ASK VOTERS TO REMOVE TERM LIMITS ON HIS OFFICE SO HE MAY HOLD OFFICE INDEFINITELY
Opinion:
Sources close to Republican politics say that Eleventh Judicial District Attorney Thom LeDoux, elected less than two years ago, will ask for term limits to be removed on his office. Previously, voters applied term limits to the office after former DA Ed Rodgers served substantially unchallenged from 1988 until 2004. Few people express any interest in running against a powerful sitting District Attorney. Without term limits, the office will likely stay unchallenged.
