A structure fire destroyed a home at 125 Random Road in Elk Creek Highlands. The fire occurred in the early evening of Saturday, April 27, 2002. The cause of the fire is not yet determined. At this time, it seems to be unrelated to the Snaking Fire in which no homes were lost.

One firefighter was injured fighting the blaze.
