Post Permanent Fire Ban
Do you think that it would be reasonable for Park County to create a fire ban by legislation or code or whatever is appropriate to ban all outdoor fires such as were just recently in effect, on a regular, annual, permanent basis? Such a ban could cover the time span from April 15 to August 15.

Surely all campers, hikers, outdoor workers, etc. have access to affordable contained cooking units that use propane or some other bottled gas. There is very little need nowadays for an open wood burning campfire.

Open trash burning is a thing of the past. Slash burning is by permit. TIG and MIG welding can be regulated to eliminate risk of fire.

Cigarette tossing can be very, very heavily fined.

What is wrong with this idea?
