..SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR WEST CENTRAL DOUGLAS AND SOUTH
CENTRAL JEFFERSON COUNTIES UNTIL 145 PM MDT...

At 115 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Buffalo Creek, or 30 miles southwest of Denver, moving east at 5 mph.

Nickel size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with
this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Sprucewood, South Platte and Devil's Head.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

At 203 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 5
miles south of Perry Park, or 26 miles northwest of Colorado Springs,
moving east at 15 mph.

Nickel size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with
this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Larkspur, Perry Park and Greenland.
