Winter Weather Advisory - N&W Park County

... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 5 PM this afternoon to
11 am MST Thursday...

* what... snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches
expected. Winds gusting as high as 65 mph.

* Where... the mountains of Summit County, the Mosquito Range,
and the Indian Peaks.

* When... from 5 PM this afternoon to 11 am MST Thursday.

* Additional details... plan on slippery Road conditions. Areas of
blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The
hazardous conditions will impact the Thursday morning travel
time. Very strong winds could cause extensive tree damage.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will
cause primarily travel difficulties. Expect snow covered roads
and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.

blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The
hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening
commute. Very strong winds could cause extensive tree damage.

40 to 50 mph this morning. After a period of light snow this
afternoon, an increase in snowfall is expected through the
evening. Additional snow amounts of 4 to 8 inches are expected.


* Where... the mountains of Summit County, the Mosquito Range,
and the Indian Peaks.

* When... initial Winter Weather Advisory until 11 am MST today. A
second Winter Weather Advisory will be in effect from 8 PM
tonight through 9 am MST Friday.

* Additional details... travel could be very difficult. Patchy

* Additional details... plan on difficult travel conditions.
